The
Downey Amateur Radio Club (DARC) has been
serving the community and supporting our
Ham Radio hobby for over 55 years! We are
designated by the ARRL as a Special
Service club as we support many community
activities such as the Downey Street
Fair, Downey Rose Float Assoc, Christmas
Parade, The Lions Club annual Tour de
Sewer and many more. If you are looking
to join an active club where you will
have an opportunity to get out and use
your operating skills check us out. We
have monthly meetings and 2 weekly nets.

DARC
Weekly 440-Net takes place at 7 PM every
Tuesday evening on the Club 440 repeater
at 445.640 (-) pl 156.7 Hz for the
repeater located in Altadena or use a pl
of 88.5 for our Palos Verde repeater.
Visitors are always welcome to
participate.
Our
Thursday night (7:30 PM) 2-meter net is
on 145.595 simplex.

The
NEW DARC hats are available at our
general meetings. Cost is $8.
There are also Club Jackets and coffee

Ham of the Year 2007
Ham of The
Year plaque was presented to Rick
Norwood,KD6KHJ, for his outstanding
service to the Club as well as our public
service events, providing ID cards for
the events, and for club photos.
